Vintage Aero Fabrics offers the finest quality Belgian linen as its primary flying fabric. This fabric is aircraft quality and pull tests at greater than 100 lbs. per square inch, yet remains light weight enough for flying purposes. The family operated mill from which this fabric is made has been in existence for over 150 years and maintains the highest standards in the textile industry.

Cotton

Grade A Cotton - technical specifications

Certificated, 100% long staple Grade A cotton. Conforms to MIL-C-5646F. The fabric pull tests at a minimum of 80 lbs. per square inch. The thread count is 80-84 threads per inch in both warp and fill. Available in 60 inch width.

Early Aircraft Cotton- technical specifications cotton swatch

For enthusiasts looking for fabric that is suitable for pre-Great War aircraft, Vintage Aero Fabrics can also offer a lightweight, Egyptian cotton that closely resembles the fabric used on such aircraft as Wright flyers and Bleriots. This fabric would also be representative of vintage glider fabric and early balloon cloth. This fabric however, should not be considered adequate for flying purposes.

Ceconite - technical specifications

For those wanting to use more durable synthetics for their lozenge print aircraft projects, Vintage Aero Fabrics offers lozenge print fabric in 102 weight Ceconite. This fabric is not Certificated by the FAA but is made by the same manufacturers as its certificated counterpart.
